NATIONAL RIGHTS
WOMEN DEMAND EQUALITY BUT GENEVA UNSYMPATHETIC.. < LONDON, Octoher 10. (Received October 11, at, 8 p.m.) > The Geneva correspondent of the News Chronicle says; “ Representatives jf 45,000,000 women throughout the world who battled for . two years to obtain equality of national rights with men were defeated by the Judicial Committee of the League, which by 23 votes to 4, with tw'o abstentions, rejected the demand for revision of Articles VIII to XT of The Hague Nationality Conference in order to confer such rights. The object of the women’s efforts was to retain nationality by birth, if desired.”
