The Gale, which was delayed yesterday by rain, will sail to-day for Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Plcton, and Wanganui. The Union Company's steamer Poolta, which arrived at Dunedin early yesterday morning from Wellington, is timed to sail this evening for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, via Oamaru, Tlmaru, and Lyttelton.

The Oplhl Is expected to arrive at Dunedin this morning from Tlmaru to load and sail this afternoon for Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport, via Oamaru, Tlmaru, and Lyttelton. The Walltawn, which was scheduled to leave Lyttelton yesterday afternoon, Is due hero to-day to discharge a quantity of Pacltlc coast cargo. Sho will sail to-morrow morning for Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. The Wlugatul was timed to leave Wellington yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin, and is duo at thl# port on Thursday morning. The small Bluff oyster dredger Karaka came out Of dock on Saturday after undergoing overhaul. She left Port Chalmers on Sunday morning for Bluff. The New Zealand Shipping Company s motor liner Bangltane Is to sail from London on October 20 for Wellington and Auckland. She Is duo at Wellington on November 23. The Port Huon, which completed her Homeward loading at Napier, was to sail last night for London, via Panama, Instead of via Cape Horn. The Union Company's motor ship Haurakl was to clear Los Angeles on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. She Is due at Auckland on November X. The Government steamer Matal Is at present at bays on the west coast of the South Island, and she Is expected back at Wellington about Thursday. CANADIAN CHALLENGER’S ITINERARY. Mesrs H. L. Tapley and Co., advise that the Canadian Challenger, which arrived at Auckland on Sunday, will sail thence for Wellington, Lyttelton, Tlmaru, and Dunedin. The vessel Is due here about October 19, and after completing the discharge of the New Zealand portion of her cargo, she will load and sail for Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, to continue discharge arid complete loading for New York, Boston, and Halifax. MAKURA FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Makura, en route from San Francisco, is due at Rarotonga to-day, and at Wellington on October 17. She will leave Wellington the following day for Sydney. NIAGARA AT VANCOUVER. The Union Company’s liner Niagara, from Sydney and Auckland, arrived at Vancouver last Friday morning. . She is to leave Vancouver to-morrow for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney, and Is due at Auckland on October 31. '' i THE CITY OF ADELAIDE. . The A.'and A. Line chartered steamer City of Adelaide was scheduled to leave New York on Saturday for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. She Is due at Auckland about November 20. THE SIB JAMBS CLARK BOSS. The whaling factory motor ship Sir James Clark Ross arrived at Wellington on Sunday night from Sandjeford. She will sail this afternoon for Stewart Island. FERRY STEAMERS CHANGED. During the summer months the Wahine will replace' the Maori In the Welllngton-Lyttelton ferry service, maintaining It In conjunction with the Rangatlra. The Wahine, which has been laid up at Wellington during the wintei, has been recommissioned to take the place of the Rangatlra, which is to be overhauled, and when the Rangatlra resumes on October 17, the Wahine will take over the Maori’* running. The Maori will be laid up during the summer. SHAW, SAVILL LINER AKAROA. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion's Company’s 15,000-ton liner Akaroa (formerly the Aberdeen liner Euripides), which Is being reconditioned at Hebburn-on-Tyne for the New Zealand service, will leave Southampton on December SO for Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland about February 1. RABANGA'S MOVEMENTS. Work was resumed at Napier last Thursday and the Shaw, Savlll steamer Raranga was to leave there on Saturday for New Plymouth, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Fort Chalmers to complete her Homeward loading.
