FORESTERS
The quarterly summoned meeting of Court Excelsior, No. 6128, A.0.F., was held in St. Mary’s Hall, Durham street, Mornington, on September 27. The C.K., Bro. J. C. S. M'Minn, presided over a full attendance of officers and a good attendance of members. It was decided that the invitations from Court ' St. Andrews and Court Pride of Dunedin be accepted, the court to attend officially at each, P.C.R.’s Bros. J. W. Latch and J. Arnold, C.R. Bro. J. C. S. M'Minn, and S.W. Bro. S. Wood were appointed to represent the court at Court Little John’s anniversary social. An invitation was accepted from Court Robin Hood to the anniversary social, and P.C.R. Bro. J. Arnold and Min. Sec. Bro. W M. M'Minn were appointed to attend. Correspondence was also received from the A.0.D., and from the Mayoress (Mrs K. S, Black) regarding the Christmas party for unemployed children, to which it was decided to send a donation. The delecates reported on the combined picmc meeting, stating that it had been decided to hold a combined picnic on Labour Hay at Warrington. An official visit was paid by the D.C.R., Bro. Williamson, the D. Bro. Thomson, and the D. 8., Bro. Olson. The C.R. welcomed P.C.R. Bro. Murray, of Court Bruce, of Milton, who was present at the meeting, , Bro. Murray suitably replied. The election ot officers resulted as follows:—C.R., Bro. H. Roberts; S.C.R., Bro, S. Wood; treasurer, Bro. J. Anderso'u; secretary, Bro. E. J. Patton: S.W., Bro. G. W. Garden; jw Bro. R. M'Fadyen; 5.8., Bro. A. C ofdham; J. 8., Bro. A. Stewart; minute secretary, Bro. W. M. M'Minn: trustee, Bro A. S. Thomas; auditor, Bro. S. Wood; M.C., Bro. J. Wilson; delegates to the district meeting—l .C.R.a Bios. J. W. Lnitch, J. Arnold, and J. Wilson, Sec. Bro E. J. Patton, and P.P.C.R. Bro. J. G. S. M'Minn. The following are the nominations for the district office: District trustee, P.C.R. Bro. M. Mcarns, district auditor, P.C.R. Bro. G. D. Hay; district beadle, P.C.R. Bro. J- W. Leitcli. The toast to “ The District Executive was proposed by the C.R. The three members of the D E. present suitably replied, as did P.D.C.R. Bro. L. Walmsley, who assisted, and in doing so congratulated the court on its fine attendances and condition. The newly-installed officers all returned thanks for their election. The D.C.R., Bro. Williamson, presented P.C.R. Bro. J. AV, Leitch with his P.C.R.’s sash and diploma, and in doing so spoke of the excellent and efficient manner in which he had earned out his duties while in the various offices. Bro. Leith suitably replied, thanking the DE and the court. The proposition for membership of two new members was accepted.
