Messrs A. Thay and D. O’Brien were passengers by yesterday’s .express for Christchurch. Mr F. Jones, M.P., left on his return to Wellington by yesterday’s express. Madame Galli-Curci and party left Dunedin yesterday by the north express. Mr A. Derbie, manager of the Southland Frozen Meat Co., travelled to Invercargill by yesterday morning’s express. Dr J. H. Ruehbrooke, secretary of the Baptist World Alliance, will arrive an Dunedin on Friday night. ■ ' Mr Evan Tuckwell and Mr C. Mowat left for Wellington yesterday as the representatives of Otago University to participate in the Lord Bledisloc Medal oratorical contest.
