THE SOUTH ISLAND SHEEP DOG CHAMPIONSHIP
TO THE EDITOB.
Sib,—Please grant me space to reply to your correspondent "Jackeroo" who writes in a recent issue of your paper referring to my apparent neglect in not publishing the individual points of all dogs that competed at the South Island Championship Trial held at Hakataramea in June. After a little consideration, surely, " Jackeroo " mußt realise that where over 100 dogs are taking part and three different judges are allotting points, what he ask* is rather too big an order where honorary officials are doing the work. The points and notes referring to the winning dogs were published in several papers immediately following the meeting. II " Jackeroo ' desires further information I shall be glad, to furnish him with it I am, etc., ■ -' '• i James W. M'Lean, Hon. Secretary. Coronet Peak Station, Queenstown, August 25,.
