STATISTICAL INFORMATION ' OBLIGATIONS OF LICENSEES. ' ; I. (Peb‘ United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 25. The keeping of accounts and statistical records by the licensees of passenger services under the Transport Licensing Act is required according to regulations issued in the Gazette. The Minister of Transport may re- ! quire a licensee, to keep records of statistical returns and accounts for each financial year. In respect of any specified period the Minister may require a licensee to make such returns concerning a passenger service as may be thought fit. Where the Minister is not , satisfied with the returns supplied he may order a licensee’s returns to be certified by a registered accountant. The statistical returns will include particulars of the number of the vehicle journeys, the number of passengers carried, the number of empty trips, and the number of miles covered. schedules which have been prepared for the guidance of the licensees, coyer every aspect of motor transport activities.
