LADIES’ HOCKEY
THE CANTERBURY TEAM (Pm United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 29. The Canterbury ladies’ hockey team for the Dominion tournament at Dunedin is as follow*:—Backs—D. M'Guinne«s, K, Alley, E, Milton, F. Haworth, M, Gudaell, M. Chapman, B. Morrison, M. Richards; forwards—F. Gudsell, V, M‘Nab, S. Howman, M. M'Kenzie, T. Williams, D. Dickey, C. Cooper. MATCHES POSTPONED. All men’s senior hockey matches set down for to-day have been postponed, and a senior trial match will be played at Oval No. 3at 1.45 p.m. Teams will be chosen from the following players:— Twose (Albany), Pickup (Technical), Sturgeon (City), Hanning (H. 5.0.8.), Les. Ireland (City), Whitburn (Albany), Belfield (University), Smith (City), Ward (Albany),•, Gurr (H. 8.0.8.), M'Haffie (University), Wilson (University), Harris (Technical), Bond (Technical), Rennick, (Albany), M'Clatchy (H.5.0;8.), Mayston (City). Edson (University), M‘Elvy (University), G. Silver (Technical), L. Silver (Technical), A. Baxter (Balclutha), 0. Dey (Albany), Sotting (University), Blackie (Training College), Sutherland (Training College), Eaton (University), Holden (Balclutha). The referees will be Messrs H. Sew Hoy and W. M'Queen.
