BATTLES WITH JAPANESE HEAVY LOSSES REPORTED. TOKIO, June 9. Five Japanese were killed and ten wounded in dispersing 600 guerrillas, who attacked a Japanese munition train east of Harbin. The fighting was the heaviest in the past month. The Japanese summoned armoured cars from Imienpo, after which the Chinese retreated, leaving 140 dead. The Japanese defeated 1000 guerrillas who attacked Hsincheng, in South Chinchow. The Japanese claim that-they suffered only five casualties, while 200 of the attackers were killed or wounded.
