DUTY ON BEER
NO REDUCTION IN BRITAIN LONDON, June, 9. The House of Commons, by 301 vot.*s to 71, rejected an amendment to the Finance Bill to reduce the beer duty to 103 s per barrel from the present duty of 1345.
