CHILDREN’S REST HOME
Owing to the urgent need for funds the committee of the Children’s Rest Home (Mornington) is making a special appeal for public support. The amusement park in the basement of the Town Hall will be continued this evening for the purpose of assisting the committee’s efforts. The Forbury School Band will play through the streets to the amusement park, where it is expected there will be a large attendance. The Rest Homo provides a temporary home for children of sick mothers in poor circumstances of all denominations, the children belonging mostly to unemployed men. In the last five months 102 children have been provided for. This is the last day, ns all the games must go back to Timaru on Monday. A sale of work will be held in the afternoon to augment the funds of the home.
