AN OWNER’S BANKRUPTCY further proceedings PROBABLE. (Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, May 19. A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Elwood Cuthbertson, a restaurateur and former racehorse, owner, which was held to-day, lasted over two hours. Bankrupt was questioned at length concerning his racing transactions and dealings with financial firms. Bankrupt estimated that racing had cost him £IO,OOO in three years. The creditors passed a motion that the papers bo handed to the Crown Solicitor with a view to the institution of proceedings.
