SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. Walter M'Leau will conduct special Anzac services at Knox Church to-morrow. The subject for the morning will be “A Call of Ilcniembrance.” Tti the evening members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association and the Otago Regiment will attend, and the subject will be “ Goodbye to All That.”

At First Church to-morrow the Rev. W. Allen Stevoly will preach in the morning on “ A Good Soldier of Jesus Christ,” and in the evening on “The Unknown Soldier.” Dr Galway will be at the organ. Mrs Adjutant Tong will deliver the morning address at the Salvation Army Citadbl to-morrow. In the afternoon Adjutant Tong will speak on “The Army’s Great Heart,” and at the evening service on “Who Wins the Battle?” The Rev. E. S. Tuckwell will conduct both services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow. The morning subject will be “Gifts Within the Reach of All,” and the evening “ Not Peace but a Sword.” Miss Alma Tyrrell will sing “How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings.” Home and Maori Mission Sunday will be celebrated at the St. Kilda Methodist Church to-morrow. The Rev. A. J. Seamer and the Maori Party will conduct the morning service. In the evening the Rev. Percy Paris will be the preacher, Mr A. Conch will sing “It Is Enough ” (from “Elijah”), and the choir will render Markham Lee’s anthem, “ Now Thank We.” ... .

The Anzac memorial service will be conducted at the Roslyn Presbyterian Church to-morrow evening. The Rev. E. J, Tipler will speak on “ The Inspiration of Heroic Sacrifice,” and the choir will sing “ Across the Bar,” the solo being “ ThouTt Passing Hence.” The evening service will begin with the hymn “ Father King Immortal,” the words and music of which were composed for Anzac Day. At the United Congregational Church to-morrow the Rev. W. E. Moore will preach in the morning. The Rev. Janies M. Smooth will be the evening preacher, his subject being “ The Raiment of Christ.” Miss Mary White will sing a solo.

Tile Rev. A. C. W. Standage will, conduct the services at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church to-morrow, preaching on “ The Church’s Duty ,to Its Own District ” and “ The Anzac Spirit in To-day’s Tasks.” In the evening an anthem for ladies’ voices, “ I Am Not Worthy,” will be sung, and Mr W; Paget Gale will preside at the organ. At the Caversham Presbyterian Church to-morrow the Rev. R. Ferguson Fish will conduct the morning service and the Rev. George Miller''the evening service. The Rev. W. H. Greenslade’s evening, topic at the St. Clair Methodist Church Anzac service will be “ The Poppy Garden of God.” Miss Bertha Rawlinson and Mr Alexander M’Dowell will be the soloists.

The Rev. G. E. Brown will take “ Must Anzac Fail? ” as the evening .theme at the Cargill Road Methodist Church. An anthem will be rendered by the choir. At York Place Hall to-morrow evening Mr A. Loudon will take as his subject the word “ Remembrance.” Anzac services will be conducted at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow. Mr A. M. Richards, of Knox College, will preach in the morning, and the Rev. H. E. Bellhousc will officiate in the evening, taking for his subject “ Not Our Own: The Message of Anzac.” The anthem “ The Radiant Morn ” will be sung, together with the duet “ The Divine Petition,” from Stainer’s “ Crucifixion,’ and Miss Evelyn Shepard will render the solo “ I Know That My Redeemer Liveth. The service will be broadcast from 4YA. Special services will bo conducted at the Methodist Central Mission, Octagon Hall, to-morrow, at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., ancj 6.30 p.m. At 3 p.m. the Maori party will conduct a missionary rally. At 6.30 p.m. there will be a special Anzac service. The preacher will be the Rev. Leslie B. Neale, who will take as his subject “ The Bonds of Brotherhood.” The soloist will be Mr Cecil Hawes, and Miss Anita Winkel will give an elocutionary item. First Church of Christ Scientist, Dunedin branch of the Mother Church, Boston, will hold services to-morrow in Allbell Chambers, Stuart street, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The subject will be “Probation After Death.”

At the Moray Place Congregational Church to-morrow the Rev. T. Flower will take the morning service, Mr J. Arthur Wilkinson 'conducting the evening service. The choir will render two anthems. “ Evening and Morning ” and “ Cast Thy Burden.” Mr J. D. M'Kechnio will introduce the latter with the solo “Lord God of Abraham.”

Mr John M'Ewan will bo the speaker to-morrow evening at the Theosophical Society’s meeting, when he will lecture on “Theosophy and Social Problems.”
