THE TRADE TREATY
'■ delay in ratification AN EXPLANATION DEMANDED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, April 14. Demanding an explanation of the delay in connection with the ratification of the proposed trade treaty with New Zealand, the Sun says: “How must New Zealand feel about Ottawa’s attitude after her representatives were dragged to Honolulu to construct a document which is to shrivel up in Ottawa? This is not the first time New Zealand has suffered. In the 1930 campaign the Conservatives damned New Zealand butter. Mr Bennett again insults New Zealand. Canadians demand an explanation.”
