(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 21.

In an interview to-day with Mr Robertson, Under-secretary of the Department of Lands and chairman of the Tongaeiro National Park Board, it was stated that at Friday’s meeting of the board Mr T. A. Blyth, of Ohakunc, a member of the board, reported that he had poled a new route for Hampers along the western skpes of Mount Ruapehu which would make that side of the mountain much safer. The route extends along the tussock and scoria level from the Ohaknue hut and joins the Chateau at the mountain track at the lower scoria flat, a distance of about 11 miles. The work coot £SO, which is being paid out of the Mayor of Auckland’s Searchers’ Fund. The occupants of the plane which made a forced landing at Plimmcrton yesterday were Messrs Grosser and F.
