INCREASED FINES TO BE IMPOSED. (Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 18. “Quite a number of cases of having firearms without permits have been before the court lately. It may be that the fines have not been a sufficient deterrent, and the view I take is that they can be, and shall be, increased,” said Mr E. Page, S.M., to-day, in fining Norman Allan Millar £3 for procuring possession of a revolver without a permit. Cyril Williams Flighty was similarly dealt with.
