GREAT BOON TO INVALIDS
When the city surveyor of Birmingham. England, recently sought a way to end the tooting of cars outside the homes of sick persons he devised the idea of having signs placed outside the homes. Now a request brings a messenger who will affix the notice about the affected home.
The scheme is a boon to invalids, as public hospitals have hitherto been the only ones favoured with those silent appeals for quietness.
