OTAGO v. SOUTHLAND. The following team will ' represent Otago against Southland at Logan Park on March 5 (play commencing at 10.30 a.m.):—S. G. M'Dougall, G. Pearce, Pollock, R. A. Guy, E. G. Boddy, Dr Moody, Misses Calver, Partridge, White, Cox, Barton, Fraser, OTAGO v. SOUTH OTAGO. The following team will represent Otago against South Otago at Logan Park on March 5 (play commencing at 11 a.m.) : —Phillipps, Jensen, Sherriff, Falconer, J. Pearce, Grimsdale, Mrs Cheyne, Miss M'Adam, Mrs Duthie, Misses Read, Smith, Jolly. UNION COMMITTEE MEETING. A general committee meeting of the Dunedin Lawn Tennis Union was held on Thursday evening, the chairman (Mr F. A. Sims) presiding. In connection with the Easter tourney it was decided to play the following events: —Ladies’ Handicap Singles (41 points). Men’s Handicap Singles (51 points). Mixed Doubles Handicap (51 points). Ladies’ Championship Doubles (best of 17 games—finals, best of three short sets). Men’s Championship Doubles (best of 17 games, vantage sets—final, best of three short sets). Entrance fees were fixed as follows:—Men’s and Ladies’ Singles, Is per player; Handicap Mixed Doubles, Is Cd per pair; Ladies’ Championship Doubles, 2s per pair; Men’s Championship Doubles, 2s 6d per pair. It was decided to play the events as follows:—Good Friday, Championship Doubles; Saturday, Singles; Monday, Mixed Doubles: Tuesday, finals of all events if necessary. The following were appointed as handicappers who would also have sole charge of running the tournament:—Messrs L. Hope (convener), W. Gibson (secretary), F. Sims, E. M’Kinnon. and J. Gibson. Trophies to the following value were fixed for the various events:—Men’s and Ladies' Handicap Singles: Winners £1 Is, runner-up 10s Od; Mixed Doubles; Winners £1 Is each, runners-up 10s (id each; Ladies’ and Men’s Championship Doubles: Winners £1 5s each. It wasalso decided to procure for the 811 competition a cup similar to the present B Grade cup, thus providing a trophy for each B Grade section. The offer of the Forbury Club to hold a dance again this year at which all union trophies would be presented was accepted, the only proviso being that the function this year should be run in the centre of the town.
