THE STEAMER NORTHERN FIRTH. EXAMINATION BY DIVERS. SYDNEY, February 25. A diver arrived on the scene to-day J to examine the Northern Firth, the owners of which (the Patrick Steamship Company) have purchased the former island steamer Marsina from Burns, Philp to. replace the Northern Firth. The Marsina will be converted from a passenger to a cargo vessel. SYDNEY'S UNEMPLOYED. PARADE THROUGH THE CITY, SYDNEY, : February 25. (Received Feb. 25, at 9 p.m.) Upwards of 3000 unemployed men, women, and children paraded the city to the Domain to-day. They carried banners on which were painted' “ Down with Capitalism,” “Sovietism in Russia and Starvation in Australia.” Other banners bore demands for the dole and the abolition of 'dole “ pimps,” and “ down with the New Guard.” ■
The police kept order throughout, and the proceedings at the Domain were quiet. 4
