FALSIFIED MINUTES
NEWFOUNDLAND SENSATION CHARGES AGAINST PREMIER. ST. JOHNS (Newfoundland), February 24. (Received Feb. 25, at 1 a.m.) The Assembly to-day voted to send an address to the Governor (Sir John Middleton) asking him to inquire into charges made against the Premier (Sir Richard Squires) by Mr Peter Cashin, a former Minister for Finance and Customs, which included allegations that the Premier falsified the minutes of the Council in order to facilitate manipulation of the public funds.
