SCENE IN REICHSTAG
PANDEMONIUM LET LOOSE A DEBATE SUSPENDED. LONDON, February 24. (Received Feb. 24, at 11.30 p.m.) The Berlin correspondent of The Times states that Herr Goebels, at the opening of the Reichstag debate on the date of the elections, said that the nation had elected President Hindenburg because he wished to serve the cause of Nationalism. He had done the opposite, and had gone with the Middle Left. lie had earned the praise of the gutter press and deserters. The Socialists shouted: “ We who have fought and bled won’t stand such insults.” Pandemonium reigned and a light threatened. The debate was suspended, a'nd Herr Goebels was excluded from the Chamber for the remainder of the day.—Times Cable.
