I THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE A sale of 5J per cent. Inscribed Stock, 1937, at £99 was reported on the Stock Exchange yesterday. The market closed with buyers offering £9B 17s 6d, and sellers asking £99 2s 6d. There was a slightly easier inquiry for Goldsbrough Morts, buyers of which offered up fo 225. Sellers* required Is in excess of that figure. Buyers of paid-up New Zealand Refrigeratings were prenared to give 10s, but sellers remained firm at 10s 4d. ' \New Zealand Drugs were inquired for at 45s 6d, but sellers were not interested. Mount Lyella were on offer at 20s, but buyers would not give more than 19s 9d. Sales reported: 51 per cent. Fat Cattle. —A total of 130 was yarded, of very average quality, there being a shortage of prime quality buljocks, although there were a few very nice heifers and young cows. All prime cattle showed a marked advance in value, owing to outside competition and the shortage in supply. Prime bullocks can be quoted as appreciating in value from 30s to 40s per head, the end of the auction being firm at the latter advance. Cows and heifers also showed an advance of from 15s to 30s per head, according to quality. Fat Sheep.—A yarding of 2500 was penned, comprised mostly of lines of all grades. Four trucks of medium and light wethers were forward, but no outstanding wethers were in evidence.
