News has been received by his relatives in Sheffield of the death in action during the Great War of Private W. Garlick, of the Bth Battalion Yorkshire and Lancashire Regiment, who was reported missing on July I, 1916, at Albert, France. The Imperial War Graves Commission have written stating that a grave was recently found at a point south-east of Authville, north-east of Albert, containing the remains of two British soldiers. When the remains were removed for reburial, Garlick’s identity disc was found in the grave.
