BURNS ANNIVERSARY
Lovers of the sopgs of Burns will have the opportunity on Monday evening, January 25, of hearing in His Majesty’s Theatre some of the finest of these gems at an entertainment arranged by the Dunedin Burns Club. The occasion will be the anniversary of the birth of Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns, and such is the place he occupies in all Scottish hearts, that the event will be celebrated world-wide. Burns left a glorious heritage to the world, his love songs with their tenderness and irresistible appeal finding a place in all human hearts. A special programme has been prepared, and music lovers may be assured of a wealth of entertainment. The full programme will be advertised. The bos plans are at Beggs.
