THE SUPPLY OF RELIEF GOODS
TO THE EDITOR, a resident in the suburbs who, unfortunately through adverse circumstances is compelled to seek help from the Hospital Board, may I ask why is it that I am compelled to obtain my meat from one particular butcher in the city, when I can, through the same source, patronise the grocer and baker nearest my home? I am informed that a contract exists for the supply of meat to the Hospital institutions by the butcher referred to, yet I am not aware that !twas ever intended to apply to the present setr of circumstances. Can it not be arranged for us to get supplies from the butcher nearest our homes? I shall be pleased to know what you think of it. I am, etc., One of the Unfortunates Dunedin, January 14.
