UNEMPLOYMENT AND RELIEF

TO Tlllt EDITOIS. Sir, —I think a mistake is being made in having more than one relief depot. There should be one central depot to which goods could be sent and from which they could be distributed to those in need. Otherwise there is bound to be overlapping, and the unscrupulous will receive assistance to which they are not entitled, while many deserving cases may have to go short. The Citizens’ Depot, if run on right lines, should be able to cope with the distribution of all goods to all those who are seeking assistance. —I am, etc., Woodhaugh, January 14. Citizen.
