QUOTA FOR WHEAT
SCHEME IN BRITAIN THE BASIC PRINCIPLE. LONDON, January 13. ■ Sir John Gilmour (Minister of Agriculture) said that the basic principle of the wheat quota scheme was to ensure a market for British wheat of a millable quality at a guaranteed price. It is believed at the outset that the quota of British wheat to be milled will be fixed at 15 per cent, and gradually increased to an extent justified by the circumstances.
