AUSTRALIAN UNEMPLOYED
THE POSITION BRIGHTER TRADE UNION RETURNS. SYDNEY, January 14. A statement has been issued by the Commonwealth Statistician to the effect that the returns from trade unions have confirmed the conclusion that unemployment has passed the peak and is mending slowly. In New South Wales the total of the unemployed fell from 125,000 in August to 115,000 in September, and 110,000 in October.
