Burnside, January 13. Fat Cattle—A considerably larger yarding of 260 was forward, as against 151 for last week. The quality generally was good, the entry including several trucks of prime bullocks, but the penning of cows and heifers was not. as good as last week. The supply; was in excess of the demand, and the. sale was a dragging one with values easier by 30s to £2 per head. Fat Sheep.—One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five were penned, as against 1465 for last week. The entry consisted mostly of ewes, the proportion of prime wethers being, small. The sale opened with values for prime wethers from par to a shade firmer than last week, but ewes were cheaper by Is to 2s per head. As the sale progressed values eased considerably for all classes of heavy sheep.
