Mr John Drinkwater’s collection of old postage stamps of the United States came up for sale in London some decks ago and fetched £l5O. A St. Louis five cents (1845) was bought for £3O and a rare specimen of the one cent blue (1851) £23. He has decided to specialise in stamps of the Confederate States.
