RESULTS FOR THE YEAR HIGHLY SATISFACTORY. (British Official Wlreles*.) RUGBY, January 8. . Despite difficult problems presented in the past year, Lloyd’s, Barclay’s, the National Provincial, and, the Westminster Banks (the four members of the “big five” in British banking who have so far announced their 1931 results) show highly satisfactory statements. Lloyd’s results were made known to-day. The total dividend on A shai'es was 15 per cent, for the year, less tax. Barclay’s maintained their 14 per cent, dividend on B shares. Westminster made a distribution for the year of 18 per cent., and the National Provincial of 16 per cent. On the , Exchange banks shares continue very strong. The remaining member of the “ Big Five,” the Midland Bank, has declared a dividend of 16 per cent., compared with 18 last year.
