EMPIRE MARKETING

THE BOARD’S ACTIVITIES SUCCESSFUL PUBLICITY. LONDON, December 29. Surveying New Zealand’s activities in England in 1931, the High Commissioner (Sir Thomas Wilford) says; “It is gratifying to note the definite indications of increasing popularity of Empire productions in Britain, due largely to the Empire Marketing Board’s publicity. It is naturally not the board’s policy to advertise any particular dominion. Each dominion must follow up the general publicity by pushing its own individual products, consequently the New Zealand Meat, Dairy, Honey and Fruit Boards spent £42,700 during the year in a manner best calculated to increase the demand, which is a very necessary addition to the Empire Marketing Board’s activities.”
