FEUDING BANK TRAGEDY

FUNERAL OF THE VICTIM (Per United Press Association.) FEILDING, December 30. The remains of Bruce M'Corkindale, the victim of the bank tragedy, were interred this afternoon in the Terrace End Cemetery. The respect and grief of the whole community were shown by the large cortege, which included representatives of all the bank staffs, the Borough Council, School Committee, Farmers’ Union, and other local bodies with which the parents were connected. J. L. Burton, who fired the fatal shot, has been granted furlough by the bank, and has gone to his home at Opunake. He will be required to appear before the magistrate and the coroner for inquiry and inquest, the date of which lias not yet been fixed. '
