Mr A. C. Mitchell, president of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation, who arrived in Dunedin on Monday evening, left yesterday for Invercargill. The Rev. Leslie B. Neale, accompanied by bis wife and daughter, left Dunedin yesterday morning by motor -car for Auckland, where he will spend a month’s holiday. A Press Association cable message from London states that Dr C. P. Scott, who was for many years editor and proprietor, and is now governing director, of the Manchester Guardian, is lying seriously ill at his home in Manchester. A bulletin issued yesterday reported that he had had a good night and was somewhat better.
