REVUE OPENING POSTPONED , i *.. 1 —- DIFFICULTY WITH SCENERY. There whs a holiday theatre sensation unparalleled for generations when 3000 people, many of whom had booked seats weeks ahead, arrived at the London Hippodrome yesterday afternoon to find a typewritten notice on the doors stating that the spectacular revue, “ Bow Bells,” on which £25,000 had been spent, had been postponed owing to a mechanical difficulty in handling the new heavy velvet scenery and numerous scenic effects. '
