RE-ERECTED IN OLD POSITION

Gilbert’s aluminium statue of Eros Was re-erected in Piccadilly Circus at midnight. Eros was removed in 1925 during reconstruction of the underground station. It has been cleaned, *nd now gleams in silvery beauty*
