COIFFURE FREAKS
WAX FOR HAIR DRESSING PARIS, August 28. Transparent wax, to make elaborately dressed hair stay in place, is now being used for the new styles, one of which resembles a cock’s comb. It consists of a small row of round curls running from the back of the head to the forehead, with more curls on the nape of the neck, each standing stiffly and. alone. The curls remain for several days after being dressed with the wax. Apparently women, after showing readiness for martyrdom in the cause of slimness, may soon be using the 18th century hollowed wooden pillow, permitting them to sleep—or not—without disturbing their coiffures.
