A DARING ROBBERY,
TRAYS OP DIAMONDS STOLEN. MELBOURNE, September 2. (Received Sept. 2, at 8 p.m.) Leaping from a motor car in full view of scores of shoppers two men smashed the window of a jeweller’s shop at Carlton, and escaped with two trays of diamonds valued at £6OO. Onlookers were afraid to intercept the robbers, fearing that they were armed.
