“MA” NEW HUSBAND LOS ANGELES, July 29. The city was regaled this week with the antics of “Ma” Kennedy, mother of the evangelist Aimee MTherson, in excommunicating her new husband. “ What a man! ” she fondly called him in newspaper descriptions of their marriage; but when she learned that he possessed three undivorced wives, she exclaimed: “ What a hobo 1 ” The Angelus Temple, Aimee’s headquarters, applied for a medical commission, which examined “Ma ” and found her quite sane. Next day the court annulled her marriage. “ I thought it was romance, but realise that I’rfi too old! ’’ cried grandmother Kennedy, but no sooner had she rid herself of the.philandering Mr Hudson than she wanted him back. ' . On Friday night he was arrested for bigamy. Mrs Kennedy promptly supplied him with , bail and high-priced legal assistance. Meanwhile Hudson ie “ cashing in ” upon his notoriety by writing a continued story of his remarkable experiences in a much-married life.
