OTAGO CLUB. The third round of the Otago Golf Club’s Knock-out Competition was played on Bahnaeewen links on Saturday afternoon. The results are a a follow: —C. R. Spaekman beat J. G. Dick at the twentyfirst; A. N. Haggitt beat R. Strang, J. up; F. Edmond beat J. R. Burt at the twenty-second; A. E. M'Dougall beat S. M'Pherson, 3 and 2; D. R. Noble beat D. G. M. Reid, 1 up; J. L. Wight beat J. A. Scouler, 1 up; T. B. Ferguson beat J. Spence, 3 and 2; E. A. Reed won from S. C. Wilson by default; E. W. Gibbs beat E, G. Baddy, 3 and 1; J. C. Shand beat A. C. Begg, 3 and 2; W. G. Wight beat K. Ross, 6 and 5; W. M'Kechnie beat D. M. Irvine, 4 and 3; J. H. M'Dougall beat . P. N, Rundle, fi and 3; R. W. Dick beat R. E. Hayward at the twenty-second. The St. Andrew’s Cross Competition was also played, the senior event being won by H. A. Salmon (81 —9 —72) and F. Halsted (87 —18 —69) won the junior. The fourth round pf the Knock-out Competition and a Pour-bail Bogey Handicap will be played next Saturday. ST. CLAIR CLUB. The St. Clair Golf Club’s Four-ball Bogey Handicap drew a good entry at the Corstorphine links on Saturday, when conditions were fair, with a cold northerly wind. The winning score of 4 up by A. J. P. Bestic and G. N. Fahey was a good effort. The following were the best cards returned:—A. J. P. Bestic and G. N. Fahey, 4 up; C. B. Wight and F. V. Drake, 3 up; W. Clayton and G. North, 3 up; L.
