PORT CHALMERS BOWLING CLUB
(SOCIAL GATHERING, Members of the West Harbour Bowlin* Club were the guests of the. president of the Port Chalmers Club (Mr J. H. Craw- j ford) at a social function held in th»> .; latter club's pavilion on Friday night. The time was passed happily at billiards and cards. The billiards match wa« drawn, and in the cards competition Port Chalmers won the cribbage and 500, and the euchre was a draw. In welcoming the visitors Mr Crawford spoke of the benefit which was to be derived from such social intercourse in the “ off" season, and. wa» supported in his remarks by the president of the West Harbour Club (Mr; J. A. Veitch). An excellent supper, wjiich wai t supplied by. Mrs Crawford, was served by Misses Jessie Wright, Christabel Love, ■% Eck Wilson, and Chubb Crawford.
