CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, July 16. The weather was showery throughout the day, with intermittent sunshine. The barometer fluctuated about SO.OOin, and showed a falling tendency in the evening. WELLINGTON, July 16. The weather was again fine, the sun shining brightly throughout. The wind was fairly strong from the north. CHRISTCHURCH, July 16. The weather to-day was sunny and mild, a light north-easter giving way to a strong breeze from the north-west, which made the conditions very pleasant. The thermometer moved up to 57 degrees and the barometer down to 29.46 in, at which it is steady.
