THE PRESBYTERIAN WAY.

VO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In • Friday morning’s paper appeared a letter by a correspondent, ‘ Live and Let Live,” stating that he was surprised to learn that Mr P. B. Fraser was a Presbyterian minister. Surely lx your correspondent did attend a Presbyterian service he would not expect that a sermon preached from the Gospels would reach the standard of hatred against those opposed to that denomination. In my opinion the congregation would, not tolerate the pollution of its pulpit with a tirade of hatred such as has appeared m the press against all sections of the community. Mr P. B. Fraser, being a minister of the Presbyterian Church, knows what charity means, but he suggests it is only artificial. Our social workers must surely disagree that it is not an artificial make up. That is a reflection upon those who through no fault of their own are forced to receive charity from the institutions set up for that purpose. _lt it were advertised that Mr P. B. Fraser would preach a sermon from the text, Job xi, verses 2 to 20, many would avail themselves of the opportunity of healing him interpret that passage after it had been read to the congregation.—i am, etc-j • J. F. Prenderqast. July 13.-
