Seven is supposed' iEo be a lucky number, because it consists of four and three and possesses the qualities of both numbers. In old lore, three was the symbol of life and its fulfilment, and four was the symbol of effort rewarded. Seven, therefore, embodies the spiritual importance of three and the material importance of four.
