SOCIAL AT TOMAHAWK

A successful social evening, organised by the Tomahawk Boating Club as a mark of appreciation of the efforts of those who assisted the club to conduct its recent Oucen Carnival, was held in Glencairn Hall, Tomahawk, on Wednesday evening, about 21 30 being in attendance. At the commencement of the evening Mr A. H. Davies, on behalf of the club, thanked the people concerned for the way they had assisted the club to wipe off the debt on the boatshed. During the evening music for the dancing was provided by the Click Clack Band, whilst the following also nresented items:—Miss Sumner, Miss V. Brunton. and Mr J. S. Robertson (songs). Miss Keown and Miss Lexie Mathieson (recitations), and Mr A. Smaill (cornet solo). Mrs R. Brunton played the accompaniments.
