TEST OF EFFECTIVENESS BATTLESHIP TO BE BOMBED. ■ \ LONDON, June 14. Tests in which squadrons of bombing aeroplanes will endeavour to sink the heavily-armed and wirelessly-controlled pre-war. battleship Centurion will shortly be carried out in the North Sea. It is hoped to obtain valuable information on the effectiveness of air attacks. Should the bombers foil to sink the Centurion, aircraft carrying torpedoes weighing a ton will swoop down and launch the missiles under her streamline.
