LINER’S MAIDEN VOYAGE
THE EMPRESS OF BRITAIN NEW RECORDS SET UP. (British Official Wireless.) • RUGBY, June 13. . (Received June 15, at 5.5 p.m.) ( , The largest liner of the Canadian Pacific Company, the Empress of Britain, concluded a successful maiden voyage when she arrived at Southampton yesterday from Canada. She set up new records for liie trip, a feature of her voyage being the remarkably slight variation in her outward and homeward trips. The land to' land journey in- each direction occupied exactly 78 hours 22 minutes, and the average speed both out and home worked out at 23.67 knots. At no time were her engines opened out fully.
