The monthly meeting of the Young People’s Christian Temperance Union was held in First Church Bible class room last Monday. The president, Miss Willard Gibbs, presided over a good attendance of members. Devotions were' led by Miss Rowell, after which nominations were received for secretary on account of the resignation of Miss Douglas and Miss Ritchie was appointed. A solo was rendered by Miss A. Steedman, after which a very interesting talk was given by Mr F.' Hilliker on the liquor question. A vote of thanks was passed by Miss Armit, and was carried by acclamation.
