(Received June 15, at 0.30 a.m.) On Saturday President Juan Bautista Perez sent his resignation to the Venezuelan Congress, which , unanimously ao cep ted it and fixed June 19 as the date for the election of a new President. * Congress had demanded that Perea should step down. The Cabinet has selected Dr Itriago Chacin (Minister of Foreign Affairs) to act as interim President.
