STOKERS ATTACK POLICE SHARP STONES AS MISSILES. LONDON, Jime 18. (Received June 14, at 8 p.m.)‘ Advice from Roubair states that grave disorders followed the police prohibition of a demonstration of textile strikers, who began to molest isolated policemen. When the latter were reinforced 800 men. and women armed with sharp stones attacked the police with a terrific hail of stones. police retired with their faces running with blood. Finally the police and troops were withdrawn and posted in a cordon round the district, into which no one was permitted to enter.'
