RACING IN AUSTRALIA

(Received June 14, at 5.5 p.m.) The winter meeting of the Australian Jockey Club was concluded in splendid weather. Following are the results:— SECOND HURDLE RACE.—Drake, 11.2 (Cutler), 1; Sir Carillon, 9.2 (Zeally),*2; Ulenjoy, 9.2; (Delaney), 3. Seven started. .Won by three lengths and a-half, with l(\lengths between second and third. Time, 3rain 42sec. FLYING HANDICAP.—Green Sea, 9.5 (Jones), 1; Auda (N.Z.), 7.12 (Pratt), 2; Eulclare, 7.9 (Simpson), 3. Eleven started, including Gay Ballerina. Won by a neck.. Time, Imin ll|sec. AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY : CLUB STEEPLECHASE.—Burraform. 10.11 (Hynes), 1; Indicate, 10.13 (Zeally), 2; Kinross, 10.7 (Giles), 3. Eight started, including Home Made. Prince Arim fell at the first fence, and Indicate led almost throughout, with Kinross, Burraform, St. General, and Grosvenor as his nearest attendants, and Home Made tailed off. Turning for home Indicate ran wide and lost ground. Finishing fast, Burraform slipped through and won an exciting race by three-quarters of a length, with Kinross 10 lengths away, third. Time, 6min 32 sec.
